God of Bergamo is a spin-the-wheel game created by the design team to immerse players in the challenges of Bergamo’s unpredictable weather, testing their quick decision-making and strategic gear selection.
At the start of the game, players choose two items from a selection of four. Before the “God” (a role assumed by another player) spins the wheel to decide the weather, players must select one item to use for that hour. If their choice matches the weather, they advance to the next hour; if not, they stay in the same hour. Players can also move forward if the needle on the wheel lands on “Ciao”.
The goal of the game is to survive an entire day in Bergamo within 120 seconds. The rules are designed to be clear and simple, allowing players to learn quickly. Balanced win and lose criteria ensure the gameplay remains engaging and fair, encouraging players to think on their feet.
Beyond just being a fun experience, the game teaches players about weather preparedness and offers a glimpse into life in a city known for its unpredictable climate. It’s a creative way to combine entertainment with practical insights about daily life in Bergamo.
