Created in under 12 hours by Chokchey Cappai, Dishank Gandhi, Edha Singla, and Jill Aneri Shah, this project began as an exercise to articulate our own experiences in Bergamo. It evolved into an artifact that connects the emotions, challenges, and joy of exploring the city—transforming personal memories into a shared collective.
In today's world, photos and videos are the dominant forms of memory-making. However, we wanted to go further and explore a richer, more meaningful way of engaging with these memories—one rooted in human connections and emotions rather than tourist clichés.
Participants upload photos and videos of their experiences in Bergamo, tagging them with emotion-driven keywords that reflect the feelings tied to a specific spot or moment in the city. Others can contribute to these emotional categories, adding their own memories and connecting related keywords to form a shared, multi-dimensional map of the city.
This process transforms the cityscape into a living tapestry of experiences—personal, emotional, and deeply authentic. It's not about landmarks or tourist traps; it's about the real, nuanced stories that make a city come alive through the eyes of its visitors and inhabitants.
