Interaction Design in Practice

Innocenzo Rifino is a Creative Director and the Founder of HABITS, a Milan-based design studio working on digital products, home appliances, industrial equipment, lighting, IoT, UX interaction and interfaces. This lecture will comprise of a series of case-studies from Habit's exciting portfolio.

Innocenzo graduated cum laude in Industrial Design from the Politecnico di Milano in 2000 and began his career in product design at Panasonic in Osaka. After gaining several years of experience in interaction design, he founded HABITS. Today, the studio operates globally across diverse industrial sectors.

Splitting his time between Europe and Asia, balancing academic and professional pursuits, he teaches at renowned institutions, including the Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, Domus Academy, SUPSI Lugano in Switzerland, and the New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. In 2012, he earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Design and Multimedia Communication with a thesis on physical computing.

His work has been showcased at prestigious venues such as the Triennale di Milano, the Louvre in Paris, the National Art Centre in Seoul, the Today Art Museum in Beijing, and the Italian Institute of Culture in Madrid. Innocenzo has received over 50 international awards, including Design Plus and Red Dot.
