Connecting families to trusted professionals
ProntoCasa aims to alleviate the stress of home maintenance by providing families with a direct link to trusted professionals. Through qualitative research with seven families living in Bergamo, primarily homeowners with children, the team identified a significant pain point: the lack of dependable service providers.
This deficiency forced families to rely on DIY attempts or irrelevant online searches for childcare, eldercare, and maintenance. While word-of-mouth referrals offered some reliability, they proved too slow for urgent needs. ProntoCasa's service addresses this by offering a curated list of professionals with reviews and contact recommendations, building trust and streamlining the service selection process. Through additional evaluative research, the team learned that having contact recommendations helped families feel that they can trust the professionals shown, which was a vital factor for families searching for help. The next phase of research will focus on understanding the professional's perspective, challenges, and potential participation in the service.
