The team created an interactive experience designed to explore the complexities of human emotion through technology. It aimed to simulate a computer exhibiting a range of emotions, similar to the emotional cycles that women experience over a month or the hormonal dips that can influence men’s behavior.
The team used tools like Automator and Processing.org to create a "sassy" computer personality that sends unwanted advice, plays suggestive music, and feigns fatigue, escalating to mirror human frustration and the need for rest.
The project originated from a desire to explore what makes humans truly human—emotion! By humanizing technology in this way, the team encourages viewers to empathize with human cycles while also understanding the limitations of technology. The project subtly warns against the overuse and misuse of technology, encouraging empathy even toward non-human characters around us.
Learning: The team explored the use of code to create small applications and embed them into a network of interconnected applications, effectively simulating a neural network where applications communicate with one another.
