Kate is a Service Designer and Design Researcher based in London. A curiosity about what makes people tick led her into a career in design, where her work aims to bring a healthy dollop of humanity into the way we design for the future. She helps organisations tackling evermore complex challenges to investigate what people want, understand what they need, experiment with solutions and build systems that can deliver them.As the Senior Service Designer at Public Health England, she’s on a mission to improve wellbeing and reduce health inequalities across the UK through digital service delivery.Prior to PHE, Kate worked with IDEO London, where she built and led inspiring design research programmes with project teams and helped global clients in a wide range of sectors develop better ideas by understanding people’s needs and goals, and learning how to apply this insight to product development and service strategy.Besides Design Thinking, Kate makes and performs music with all-female collective Deep Throat Choir (we released – Be Ok – in 2017 on Bella Union).
