Filippo is a designer and artist whose work sits between critical speculation and responsible innovation. His practice focuses on the ethical, political, environmental and economical implications of emerging tech, and has been featured on Wired, Vice, The Guardian, Designboom, Neural and El Pais.He currently works independently, for clients such as the UK Health Security Agency and the European Commission. Previously he worked at the BBC as Creative Director and UX Principal, growing practices in ethical design, and influencing strategies for responsible adoption of new tech such as machine learning. He also teaches in various Future Casting and Design Thinking courses in various universities, such as the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and others.He’s co-founding member of art group IOCOSE, whose research focuses on the after-failure moments of future narratives, and their implications on our present. Their work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, such as The Photographers Gallery, Tate Modern, Science Gallery, Jeu de Paume, FACT, and Transmediale.
