Cordy Swope is Fahrenheit 212’s Managing Director of new, European operation. Throughout the course of a 15 year career in innovation, he has led teams in creating profitable new offers for some of the world’s largest companies such as, BASF, BMW, Eli Lilly, France Telecom, GE Capital, Herman Miller, Nokia, P&G, Mercedes Benz, Novartis, Renault, O2, Siemens and Timberland. He has won awards for both design research and communication design and holds utility patents both in the US and Europe. His work has appeared at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. He currently serves on the advisory board to the Front End of Innovation conference Europe and to TEDx Munich.Cordy comes to Fahrenheit after working at IDEO, where he led diverse teams of clients and consultants across different industries in experimenting with new methods of developing innovation capabilities and outcomes. Prior to IDEO, Cordy was also co-founder of the Design Strategy practice at Continuum, and was also previously a research associate and product planner at Toyota.Cordy created and taught the first course in design research in the graduate program of Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, from which he holds a Master of Industrial Design. He also teaches master classes in design thinking for various business and design institutions such as, Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID), Kolding Design School in Denmark, Bocconi University in Milan, the Politechnico in Milan.
