Cemal Koray Bingöl is an Istanbul-based researcher/developer who focuses on computational design technologies through urban data, computer sciences and robotics. He finished his study at Computer-Aided Architectural Design Master’s Programme at Yildiz Technical University after he got his bachelor of architecture degree from Istanbul Technical University. In his master’s thesis, he researched on simulating urban sprawl through computational models, which he went on an exchange program to TU Eindhoven to study urban design for 6 months. He has been teaching at Istanbul Bilgi University since 2013 and giving lectures in various universities on ‘computational design’. Meanwhile, he has been collaborating with various design offices, academics and institutes under Epitome {collaborative network} and Bits’ n Bricks.
