Brian studied art, design and architecture at The Cooper Union, at the University of Art and Design in Basel Switzerland, and M.I.T.. While working as an Interaction Designer at IDEO, Brian uncovered his enduring passion: to bring empathy to the design of healthcare.That passion fueled Brian to co-found PillPack, a design-focused pharmacy startup that simplifies the complex management of multiple medications for consumers in their home. Today PillPack has $110M in funding, $100M in revenue, and tens of thousands of customers.Brian is currently a partner at Gestalt Design, a cooperative of seasoned professionals transforming healthcare through human-centered design, located in San Francisco. Brian leads design research and strategy programs across consumer and clinical domains including Pharmacy, T1 & T2 Diabetes, Deep Brain Stimulation, Parkinson’s, Behavior Change, Teledermatology, Teleoptometry, and Genetic Counseling.
