A book once made a sixteen year old Mary chase a dream of becoming a filmmaker. After acquiring a BFA in Film Production at Concordia in Montreal (with a strong focus on analog techniques), a move to Zurich took place. She transitioned to digital filmmaking and sound design as a freelancer. Eventually, she called her hero writer that inspired the initial dream, Nawal El Saadawi and moved to Cairo to embark on the pre-production phase. The process ultimately led her on a journey of exploring cultural identity, and while untangling some incorrect lumps of false precepts, a little voice in her soul wouldn’t stop yelling “INTERACTION DESIGN”.

Having been raised as a global nomad in Cyprus, Lebanon, Canada, Switzerland, and Egypt, Mary dreams of building a platform that gets companies to underwrite hackers’ inventions to solve humanitarian issues with a side dish creation of amusement park for the senses, You’ll often find her undertaking coriander-filled culinary challenges, and indulging herself in jigsaw puzzles.
