Emergent Personal Brand Identity

This poster displays the different values (colours, brightness, contour etc) of a range of faces. By displaying this raw data in a picture that characterises and illuminates otherwise hidden features, it generates an emergent logo that can be used as a personal brand identity. The outcome can be unexpected as well as revealing.

By stepping in front of the camera, using camera tracking, the code records the values of faces. This layer of data developes a specific pattern, but the outcome can be varied generatively, by selecting values of code.

From these patterns, I intended to design personal brand identities for each of my classmates/faculty, and combined with their names in many experiments. In general, the brand identity process is very fixed and clear. In this sense, this approach provides a new and different angle to design brand identity.
