Mayo Nissen

Country: UK/Germany
Expertise: Industrial and Service Design; Design Research

Mayo is interested in the intersections and interplay between industrial design, service thinking and interaction design – and developing strategies across, between and beyond these disciplines to have a lasting, positive impact on the world. He is fascinated by the space between the tangible and the intangible, and the designer’s role in defining the interactions that happen there.

He graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Brunel University in London and has worked at consultancies in the UK and Germany, both as a product designer and more recently consulting on service design and innovation cultures. In his time at CIID, Mayo is hoping to bring some of those strands closer together in his thinking and work.
