The Film ABCs: The 26 most important things in craft, history, and currents trends of filmmaking

Taylor Hamilton, an American filmmaker and Principal Designer at frog design, will give a film 101 class in an hour. Taylor (born and raised in Hollywood, California) is a self-taught filmmaker who has cobbled together a film education from a multitude of sources. Starting off with Akira Kurosawa and ending with Zoetrope Studio, Taylor will give a fast-paced lecture on what he thinks most critical to understanding cinema (loosely organized by the letters of the alphabet). He’s used his understanding of cinema to bring clarity and emotion to the field of design — both in his work at frog design and the students of CIID.

When: Tue, Feb 7th, 2017, 5 PM.
Where: CIID, Ground Floor
