Hands on experiential learning analytics
The PELARS project designs, analyses, and provides feedback for analytics derived from hands-on, project-based and experiential teaching and learning scenarios. The project will result in learning analytics tools for practice-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) learning, appropriate for real-world learning environments.
CIID’s involvement within the PELARS programme will focus on user-centered design with learners and teachers, learning-toy development, prototyping with users and user-experience studies. We will also create front-end research profiles and user-experience surveillance, and actively support in-the-wild iterative prototyping activities with end user-learner groups. CIID is also involved in hardware prototyping and integration with learning analytics, visualization and in-class furniture.
The research is financed by the EU and its consortium consists of thirteen partners: Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, Universität Bremen, Arduino, Universitatea din Craiova, Technical University of Denmark, National College of Art and Design, Perch Dynamic Solutions Limited, Scuola Superiore di Studi Universitari e di Perfezionamento Sant’Anna, Medea, Malmö University, London Knowledge Lab, European Network of Living Labs, The Third Teacher+ (Cannon), and CitiLab.
