Designing a Bank
This talk will introduce how N26 #Themobilebank is influencing the financial decision making of people. Exploring the role of trust while designing a bank and identifying user’s needs has been one of the key reasons for the growth and acceptance of N26 in Europe. We will discuss what it could mean to be disruptive not for the sake of being disruptive but for the sake of a mindset change where we influence how people deal with their money and form a relationship with their bank. This talk will also touch upon the question of how we can continue providing value to users as money becomes less and less physical? Finally, we will share some differences in terms of culture between roles of people who work in retail banking vs. at N26 and how this group of people are on the brink of re-shaping an entire industry.

Akarsh Sanghi is a designer & engineer from India currently leading the growth product team at N26 in Berlin. Previously he worked with IDEO & Zalando in Berlin and holds a Master’s degree from the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design. In the last years he has managed to live, study & work in Delhi, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Singapore and plans to continue his cross cultural wanderings.

Christian Hertlein is currently the Head of Design at N26. He is constantly working with his team of designers to create disruptive products from a holistic approach, incorporating strategies and frameworks from a design-minded perspective.
