Shima Khaki

Shima Khaki is a user experience designer, design researcher, and theater actress. She studied Fine Arts at Tehran University and received her MFA focusing in Interaction Design from California College of the Arts.

Shima is an established designer and storyteller with a passion for engaging with diverse communities and advocating for user-centered design. With over eight years of experience in communication and product design, she is well-versed in a range of design disciplines from design research to web, print, branding and motion graphics.

Alongside her design practice, Shima has joined Bahram Beyzaie’s Theater Workshops at Iranian Studies Program at Stanford University since 2015. Professor Beyzaie is a critically acclaimed Iranian playwright, theater and film director, and a scholar in Persian language and Mythology. Shima has appeared in six plays produced by the Iranian Studies Program at Standford University three of which were directed by Professor Beyzaie.

Shima’s hobbies include photography, painting, writing, and filmmaking.
