Ré Dubhthaigh

Visiting Faculty
Nationality: Irish

Ré is an independent designer and service strategist, based in Dublin. Over the years he has led projects for clients including the BBC, Science Gallery, Hasbro, Egmont, Elsevier and Nokia. Now focusing more on systems change, he supports institutional actors to connect beyond their organizations – including the Dept. of Health in Ireland, the UK Dept. for Communities & Local Government and a variety of local councils. He has helped shape large multi-stakeholder projects around health, planning and social care – using design to bridge larger scale challenges of service delivery with the personal interactions and ambitions of citizens.

Ré has an MA in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art, London and has been a researcher at InnovationRCA and the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy. He is a Design Associate at the UK Design Council focusing on the public sector, and was recently interim Associate Lector in Design Research at Design Academy Eindhoven.
