David Sjunnesson

David is a senior design lead with IDEO’s Munich studio. Working at the intersection of the digital and physical, he helps create products and services that allow for more novel and focused interactions.

Before joining IDEO, David worked for the experience design firm Tellart, helping clients create products that span the digital and the tangible. Prior to this, David led his own design studio in Sweden, where he worked on a diverse set of projects, from designing large-scale art installations to educational tools for children. He also taught interaction design courses and was part of the team running the physical computing laboratory at Malmo University.

David has received numerous accolades for his work, including Cannes Lions, as well as the Lovie, IxDa and SXSW interactive awards. He attended Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and received his Bachelor’s in interaction design from Malmo University.

David loves that his work as a designer has given him the opportunity to travel the world. And whether home or abroad, he likely has a camera in one hand and a fork in the other, ready to take in new sights and unexpected flavors.
