I am a designer of wearable medical devices, integrating my fashion experience and engineering studies with a fascination of human interaction and material science.

I graduated with a BDes in Fashion Design 8 years ago from NCAD Dublin. Obsessed with creatively solving complex apparel construction problems I moved to London to work for Alexander McQueen and on Savile Row. Adapting products for varying anatomies and user needs, I developed a growing interest in the application of this knowledge within the ergonomic design of medical products.

I returned to university 4 years ago to study mechanical design engineering and have been very fortunate to work simultaneously in multi-disciplinary R&D teams. For 2 years I developed anatomy specific apparel that delivers electro stimulation to train and monitor the neuromuscular system. At present I work with a start-up company where I exploit their proprietary smart polymer for musculoskeletal realignment, focused on an enhanced patient and clinician experience.

I live in a tiny cottage by the sea in Ireland where I enjoy swimming, hiking, cycling, yoga, dancing, cooking fish and discovering new music from around the world. I am very excited to escape to the city of Copenhagen and even more excited to collaborate, learn and be inspired by the cosmic mix of designers.
