Seungmin Ellen Oh is currently pursuing a master’s degree in industrial design at Pratt Institute in New York City, USA. Ellen has academic backgrounds in business and international studies and also she worked in finance and management consulting industries in South Korea before she move to New York City.

She is exploring and enjoying the new and different world of design and curious to see how her previous life experiences and design will all come together in the future. Her broad spectrum of professional interests ranges from technology-driven designs like digital media design to service design to more traditional product designs.

Ellen likes anything related to food such as food design, architecture, history, and new gadgets. She also likes to travel, learn new languages, and go for running/hiking. Ellen is excited to join CIID summer school to get to know more about design in Denmark and Europe, learn interaction design/service design for her project, and spend summer in Copenhagen.
