Sami Désir

Nationality: French
Area of Expertise: Business models & economics, Sustainability, Marketing and communication

After obtaining a Bachelor in Management and Economics from Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris, Sami studied entrepreneurship, sustainability and all things innovation at Maastricht’s University in the Netherlands for his Masters. He then put his learnings in practice working with different entrepreneurs from Paris to Indonesia tackling the challenges of modern societies and aiming at improving conditions of living.

Working on the strategy and the communication of new services in the fields of education, human development, mobility and retail, Sami started borrowing from the principles of design to adopt a user-centered mindset and to add meaning and aesthetics to all his projects. After diverse experiences as a consultant for different startups based in Paris, he decided to set himself the goal of becoming a multi-disciplinary designer. He started pursuing this goal by joining Parisian design consultancy Meaningful to learn more about design alongside experienced designers and innovators.

He is excited to start the Interaction Design Programme along with a group of creative people from diverse areas of expertise to push the boundaries of our relationships with technologies, humans and our environment!
