Wagama is an AI-powered white-board that allows teams working on public space projects to conduct on-site ideation brainstorms, freeing them from the limitations of their indoor office. While the project team is out brainstorming on site—for instance at the future location of a city park—Wagama translates a live video feed of their ideation session into rich and non-linear visual notes. In this way, the team can resume collaborating on their concept development process upon return to their office.

The team developed the Wagama concept over the course of one day in response to the “Augmenting Labor with A.I.” brief during the Rapid Experience Prototyping course. The process involved extensive improvisation, body storming, and role-playing, which allowed them to rapidly iterate through ideas, feeling out which ones worked and which ones didn’t.
