In this week long Introduction to Interaction Design class, the project brief was to explore the topic of learning and design an interactive screen-less device which would help to enhance the learning experience for CIID students outside the institute.

Wentor is a smart device, which uses the metaphor of a compass, that lets you find peers near you who are willing to share their knowledge about a specific topic on a peer to peer basis. The device works in two modes, “Mentor” and “Learn”. While in “Learn” mode, by pressing open the moving arrow, and choosing a specific topic with the rotary dial, the device points you in the direction of the closest person using Wentor in “Mentor” mode who is willing to share his knowledge about that topic.

The biggest takeaways from the week were understanding the process and methods for interaction design.
