The Agency Agency wants to intervene at both significant and trivial moments of uncertainty, to encourage us to consider other perspectives. Uncertainty is an odd emotion where we are simultaneously likely to fall back on what we know, whilst also being more receptive to guidance than usual.
The gradually evolving service re-frames this feeling, from one where we rely on habit, to one where we become curious, and open minded.
What starts as a public Instagram where an obscured stranger randomly picks from a set of curated prompts, escalates into a multi-platform narrative where the prompts are told like the cryptic commands given to a spy. Could a service’s ambiguity and friction be both enjoyable and rewarding by encouraging a person to play along?
