Can was born and raised in Istanbul, and has spent the last ten years working in New York City. He has attended Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and Parsons School of Design, and holds degrees in Visual Arts and Graphic Design.

While pursuing self-initiated art and design projects in New York, Can spent several years working in the talent acquisition field, refining his skills in design critique and reviewing portfolios for international design studios. During his time at frog design, he had the chance to familiarize himself further with interaction design and decided to pursue his interest full-time at CIID.

Can is particularly interested in speculative design, interactive storytelling, and immersive experiences. In his free time, he enjoys visiting art galleries and museums, reading about science, and eating his way through the culinary wonders of the world.
