Sena comes from a background in Engineering and Design. While she was studying Manufacturing Systems Engineering BsC at Sabancı University, design related subjects aroused the most of her interest. After graduating she decided to move to Barcelona to pursue the Master of Product Design at Elisava School of Design. Since then, she has been working as a designer at industrial design firms, Santa&Cole and then Magma Design in Barcelona. Recently, she co-founded “One Day” platform, which is a social innovation start-up that provides young people with the chance to contact and meet with passionate professionals.

Sena is fascinated by the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of design and its social effectiveness in a system scale. Specifically, she is interested in the influence of design practice on people, human behaviour and culture.

At CIID’s collaborative and peer-to-peer learning atmosphere Sena aspires to develop new skills and experiences focusing on service design and strategic interactions.
