Nicolas Armand

Nationality: French

Area of Expertise: Graphic Design, Communication, Music

Nicolas got a BA degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication from ECV in Paris. He works mainly as a freelancer for visual identities, web design and illustration. He previously studied architecture where he got interested in interaction design.

Used to work with printed design, he started using creative coding to achieve results he could not do with the traditional graphic designer’s tools. He is interesting in blending analog and digital, paper and circuits, and always experimenting.

Aside from that, as an electronic musician, he is now creating an audio visual live act, based on the interaction between his modular synthesizer’s control voltages and digital code.

At CIID Nicolas looks forward to learn from the great teachers and students, and to develop a more people centred practice while working in a lab-like environment.
