Time Light

As part of the Video Prototyping class in January, students were exploring ways to communicate a concept through video. Using video as both a sketching tool to explore an idea, as well as a communication tool to illustrate a user journey, this final video was produced in response to the brief, ‘design a dating service for students, that promises to be social’.

Time Light is a future cast device that allows users to scan a product or artefact and verify its date of production. Upon scanning, users have the option to upload their find to a timeline, in order to better understand where it fits in the history of that object.

This device was conceived for use by students of history, archaeology and other similar disciplines. Our video demonstrates a novel use of Time Light by an archaeology student, interested in finding ‘hidden treasures’ amongst old castaways in Copenhagen.
