Perspectives with Elements

In the process of exploring image creation with open ended expectations, we conducted a series of 22 experiments over 2 days. The purpose of this course was to push the boundaries of photography and cinematography by exploring how to make the invisible phenomena visible. We sought to find alternative ways of seeing the world.

The outcome was a series of images that fall into 3 categories:

(1) explorations of time and light using fire with long exposure, fast shutter speed, as well as slit scan;

(2) explorations of photography and invisible data using LEDS and long exposure to capture wind movement through a tree;

(3) explorations with stop motion animation: water, objects, and time.
