Bethany Snyder

Country: USA
Area of Expertise: Architecture, Installation Art, Project Management

After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in architecture, Bethany has since worked in the art, architecture, and woodworking fields as both a designer and project manager in San Francisco.

While the bulk of her experience is in architecture, she has worked on numerous international public art installations over the years, and now finds herself immersed in project management at a custom woodworking company. Her desire to shape human experience and behavior through the built environment initially led her to the field of architecture, but she now hopes to translate those user experiences into the interactive digital environment.

At CIID she would like to explore how to design efficient and elegant ways of engaging in everyday interactions through technology. By researching the intersection between design, media studies, and human behaviour, she hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the human condition as it relates to the digital landscape.

In her spare time, Bethany enjoys sketching, painting, brunch, and large amounts of coffee. She also likes to read books and eat burritos.
