The Pond & Number 2

In this one week generative design class we were introduced to javascript and did some exercises.

In one exercise, I focused on behaviour modeling. I built a pond with lily-pads and simulated the movement of a school of fish. When the cursor approaches to the fish, they swim away. While tapping on the water, it triggers a ripple effect and feeds the fish with their movements of gathering.

In the other exercise, we learnt basic math, color and physics to simulate natural phenomenon and objects. I used a Bezier curve to draw a toilet and made a ‘number 2’ which will be flushed away when a mouse clicks on the flush.
