Data and Behaviours

The generative course focuses on concepts and techniques of computer simulations and artificial behaviour modeling, characteristics, actions and reactions. We were given the task of creating visual sensors derived from a data stream taken from any of the three areas – bitcoin, email, glucose or weather signals.

As a part of my initial exploration I worked on fish behaviour and how they respond when they are given food.

In my final exploration I worked on understanding the motion of air and its movement. The air flow was visually signified through different colours based on its temperature and speed.

Being introduced to javascipt for the first time, for me it really opened up the possibilities of how algorithm and simple mathematical calculations can give numerous possibilities of visualizing different kinds of data.
