Hand Made

Hand gestures designed by people, for people

Hand Made is a tool to produce a collective library for future reference of everyday hand gestures. It questions how hand gestures have been, are and will be shaped by technology. Even before we developed speech, hand gestures were used as a form of communication, whether to convey a precise concept or to emphasise a point. This project has been developed with a research focus, aiming to provoke, inspire, discover and speculate on how our current digital activities will influence the way we communicate with our hands.
