Beams and other explorations
This project was about using photography to reveal phenomenons that is invisible to the naked eye. What does sound look like? How does the air around a working drill behave? What does the volume of a projector beam look like?
We were pushed to exploit the camera’s ability to capture real life in various situations. This gave us a new perspective of the camera, and changed our perception on how it can be used. After exploring the still image, we shifted to the moving one. How do you play with the idea of time and warping time in 24 frames per second?
We experimented by pointing a live feed of the camera through a projector, creating a feedback loop. We watched the camera watching itself infinitely, forming a transcending tunnel. This was the beginning of further explorations, which we compiled into the following video.
