After graduating with a degree in electronics, Umesh completed around four years in the mobile domain. He started with UX Verification on mobiles, then shifted to application/engine development. Umesh also worked with the Samsung UX Research Team, initially focusing on browser UX design and later gaining some experience in sustainability aspects of design working for a Smart Energy Project.

In addition, Umesh worked in the social media domain for a while, as part of a research into current and future web trends. His fields of interest include ubiquitous computing and end-user programming.
