Sara is an artist and designer, previously based in Brooklyn New York, now in Copenhagen. Her practice as an artist and educator combined with her experience living with type 1 diabetes drives her work as an interaction designer. She is interested in systems, products and services that begin with the user and take into account all facets of the system. She likes a holistic design process and likes to eat whole grains.

Sara is specifically interested in the psychology and neurobiology of human machine relationships. She creates and solve problems through exploration of materials. She believes in beautiful content: beauty without content is flaccid, and content without beauty is useless. She wants the insulin pump to be both technologically effective and beautiful.

In her work, Sara hopes to illuminate the importance of the physical and emotional relationship between humans and the technology we use to assist our bodies.
