Rachis exploraparum

Rachis exploraparum is an exploration of the properties of paper and fiber against the human figure.

The central spinal portion is an original paper tessellation that compresses and expands along with movements of the body. The adaptable structure was inspired by the feelings of anxiety, pressure and excitement in a tangible form.

When covered with linen, the spine is given a skin in which it can fully express itself. Rachis exploraparum takes anxiety and excitement on an expedition through sleeping streets. Here, both feelings are manifested in an environment where they often coexist – the discovery of a new place.

Special thanks to Kenneth Aleksander Robertsen for his cinematographic contribution.
