Taught by Matt Cottam (Tellart, Umeå, RISD) and Bill Verplank (Stanford, Interval, IDEO, Xerox, MIT), this week-long workshop included a series of short and long exercises to introduce basic concepts and skills for designing interactions.

The students were introduced to a variety of frameworks that challenge ideas about what the future might hold and how to approach design. Through rapid sketching with a variety of materials, and by looking at people, relationships, activities, products, systems, the students observed themselves and others to analyse goals, behaviours, mental models, likes and dislikes.
