Martina Pagura

Country: Italy
Area of Expertise: Industrial Design, Interaction Design

Martina studied product and graphic design at Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and Strate College (Paris). After completing her Bachelors she took a six month Masters in lighting design (Politecnico di Torino). She moved to IUAV (University of Venice) to undertake a graduate degree in industrial design where her interaction design thesis focused on a service for public launderettes.

Over that period of time, Martina built a critical view about the field of design, which matured through her education, internships and project work. This is the reason why she has decided to spend a year focusing on interaction design.

Martina likes to find a connection between abstract concepts and practical applications: she gets an equal amount of enjoyment from mathematics and making things by hand – and she is particularly interested in innovation. She would like to work on new ideas, abstract or concrete, for new lifestyles. Martina is committed to solving existing problems by looking ahead and imagining innovative ways of doing things, not just by making another object.
