Acclimatising Refugees

Climate Refugees are often unable to return to their homes due to the changing weather. As a result they are crowded into refugee camps with few things to entertain themselves. Acclimatising Refugees addresses this issue through social interaction.

A wearable object for the arm, Acclimatising Refugees empowers the user through music. Through arm motions, the user generates music and sound, expressing cultural elements and sharing them with spectators. This action transcends language barriers and breaks the tension that might be found in a refugee camp, spreading the important sense of self expression.

A Wii Remote control is placed in the wearable sleeve, and through the motion of the arm, and the location of the remote control on the X,Y, and Z axis determines what sounds are output.
