I am a mobile and web designer with a background in software engineering. As a hybrid of design and engineering I’m striving to create meaningful interactions between humans and the environment by harnessing the power of technology and pushing it to its limits.

After graduating with a Master’s degree in Computer Science I started to work as a mobile developer at the University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil. I kept working part-time as a freelance web designer for various clients. Through a collaboration between the University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil and the University of Bern I was given the opportunity to work as a project manager for a software project to assess medical students in the federal exams.

In 2015 we submitted the said project to the Interaction Awards which are part of the Interaction Conference. As a finalist in the category «Optimization» I got to attend the conference in San Francisco. That’s where I first heard about CIID. Soon after, I found myself spending a month in Copenhagen where I attended summer school at CIID. This was an eye-opening experience. I collaborated with bright minds from all over the world who became close friends of mine. I learned new ways of thinking, prototyping and crafting. This ultimately led to the decision to shift my career towards Interaction Design. CIID lays the perfect foundation for that. It’s a place where serendipity meets ingenuity.
